Distance Grandparent Zoom Chats

Please join me

Would you like to chat with other distance grandparents? ... maybe make some new global friends? Additionally, my research is ongoing & I welcome your input. While none of us can get in a plane .... let's use this time to connect with others in a new and novel way.
Find a timezone option that works for you and dive in! Numbers will be limited so conversations flow easily.

Zoom chat No 1:
Covid 19 - global chaos: When will I see my kids?

We all have a story. My husband and I were booked to visit our family in the U.S. departing New Zealand 27  March. We hadn't seen them for 16 months. Our U.S. based son was due to visit NZ late April and our U.S. daughter and little grandsons have been booked for some time to visit this Christmas. And will we be able to attend our son's wedding in Chicago in June 2021?

And what about the virus? How has COVID affected your family? How are you navigating it?

Zoom chat No 2:
'Mind the gap': The voids, the absences... how do you navigate them? What are the upsides?

Distance familying takes adjustment. We have to grow into and sometime it never quite fits... but we need to adjust and accept. I often ask myself "Would I be doing these book projects if I had commitments of grandchildren close by?" How is it for you?
